Sporting events: NFL Super Bowl!

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The NFL draft is over and the regular season will be here before you know it, so now is a good time to think about the upcoming Super Bowl. For 2011, the game is scheduled for February 6 in Arlington, TX. Tickets aren’t cheap and the rest of the trip won’t be, either, but if you are an NFL fan wouldn’t it be great to see at least one Super Bowl live? The definitive Super Bowl guide site (link at the bottom of the post) is already being built. Bookmark it and watch for updates including a schedule of events and ticket handbook.

Go to the Indianapolis 500

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

At Sporting Gear .NET, we usually discuss gear like hockey sticks or basketball nets. However, like all athletes we like to attend professional sporting events when we can and no event in auto racing can top the Indianapolis 500. The 2010 event is only days away and race fans eagerly await the start. The qualifying schedule this year has been compressed, in part to make the trip cheaper for smaller race teams. The move was also made to make the whole event, including qualifying, more affordable for dedicated racing fans. If you haven’t been to the Indy 500, this is a fine year to go! Tickets are still available for sale.

The pre-race festival will be held May 29, 2010 in Indianapolis. The parade requires its own tickets, so be sure to buy these in advance.
